So yea. Let’s see. The Bimmer has a huge crack in the windshield. This makes the little bit of snowfall we got bittersweet. Oh well.
Work has been pretty crazy. Some last minute changes to business requirements that were signed off on like…4 months ago. Along with these logic changes, changes to the actual Crystal Report I’ve been developing have been coming in as well. But, I finished the initial part of the code changes today and have until next Tuesday to get them tested. So, as long as I stay on top of things, I’ll be fine.
Been back in the gym prett hard again. Lifting is going well. My chest is getting back to normal strength, same with shoulders and legs. Back, biceps and triceps need more work though. With time I suppose.
Andy told me about a USPL event in DC in May. The USPL is the new league made by the Pro teams of the NPPL. Anywho, Andy is looking to play in it. I’m pretty stoked and hopefully going to the field on Sunday to see if I can still throw down. Haha.
Oh yea, so did anyone else get let down on Sunday? I did. I mean seriously…45 seconds left and you just give it up. 😦 Oh well. I was with great company and that means more than the game to me. I mean, I really didn’t care about the Cardinals…I just don’t like the Steelers.
All signs point to “Yes!” So, I found an Alpine White on Black interior 335i on Craigslist for 29750. Just so you guys know, that is a great price. The car comes with the remainder of the maintanence plan and the warranty, which is great as well. It has the sport package, but not premium and it doesn’t have comfort access. Not too big of a deal. Mainly, I wanted the sport package for the nicer seats. For some reason, the previous owner had the brushed aluminum trim painted white. While it doesn’t look bad, it isn’t my cup of tea. It has a couple mods like new downpipes and a short shifter and Florida tint. But hey, all the little imperfections are fine since he knocked another 1k off the price! So, I’ll be out the door with the car for less than he was orginally asking (about 200 less). I’ll keep you guys updated on how things go tomorrow.
For now, I’m going to bed so I can go to the gym in the morning. Then it is down to PG to visit the Verizon store and also to go to the VA Credit Union with my dad to do the loan deal. Then back up to the office to do some reading/work with JBOSS and JSF. Good night!
Why is it so difficult? I mean, there are so many things to look for. Price, practicality, luxury, mileage, fun factor, etc. While I’d like to get a good deal, price is kinda out the window. I’d like to get a nice enough car to where I’ll be happy with paying on it. Practicality is an absolute must. Penny hates the Z and doesn’t want to ride in it. So, I have to have a back seat and four doors just makes it much easier. Also, a trunk big enough to easily place my golf bag in is also great. Luxury…well this is a tough one. It must be nice enough so I don’t regret paying 600-800 a month on it. But also not so nice that I’ll hate taking it to the gym and to the paintball fields. But hey, I can keep it clean, that isn’t too much of an issue. Gas mileage isn’t a big deal…since I’m very close to my current client and gas is reasonable again. Fun factor…this is the hard one. I mean, who wants to drive another dud car? My Z is fun…not blazing fast, but fun. I love tossing it around and going through the gears hearing it scream.
So, with that said…the following cars are in contention:
- S4/RS 4
- 4 Runner
And that is the list…in order. Yes, the last three are nothing exciting but if it isn’t going to be one of the top two then well…they are purely for practicality sake.
