Hello again everyone. There have been a couple changes in life since my last post.
I am now single. Yea…I know. Actually, I don’t know. But hey, life goes on right? Faith is still in Ghana and I guess we will see how that goes when she comes back. I’m quite positive that there is nothing there and that there will never be again. I gave it my best run but I guess I don’t have that kind of luck. It doesn’t seem to work out the best for me but we can only keep moving forward and hoping for the best.
So, since the break up I got pretty sick and lost all desire to go to the gym and actually eat right. What happens as a result of that? I have gained 18lbs. Yea, I know. I’ll get my desire back and end up in the gym again, harder than before. So, I am not too concerned. I guess being single leaves me with more time to focus on work and myself. Which, isn’t such a bad thing. But I do miss having time to spend with someone like…going out to eat, movies, cooking for someone, etc. I have been spending a lot more time with my friends which is always good.
My wrist feels better but the last time I golfed was absolutely horrible. But, that isn’t a huge deal. Once it gets warm aagin, I’ll get my swing back. I’ve also decided that I will try this whole paintball deal one more time. Ya know, just like I always say. I miss traveling, the friends, the venues, the rush. So, we’ll see how that goes.
Well, I am going to get out of the house…maybe do some laundry. Going to hang out with my friend Kaycee tonight. Just friends, so don’t get excited everyone. Haha.
So, I haven’t golfed much lately. I went out to The Hollows with Quinn, Will and some others the day after a wine party at Quinn’s and golfed some. I did fairly well, shooting an 85. I could have done better if my putting was on. But of course, that killed me. I still have a huge gap in my bag between my PW and my 55* wedge. I’ll probably be picking up some Black Pearl CG14s soon to fix that problem. I also got a coupon for a Callaway wood of my choice at a discounted price. So, I will probably hit up Golf Galaxy sometime to check out their selection and hit them.
But, the reason I haven’t golfed much lately is due to a wrist injury that has come back. I went to the orthopedic surgeon here and he diagnosed it as severe tendinitis. He recommended that I take it easy for 6 to 12 weeks, ice it, and wear a brace. So, I have been following his recommendations. No lifting, no golfing, wearing a brace, and icing it whenever possible. But, on October 4th, I might try to golf with Quinn and some others. Hopefully, 18 holes won’t be too much for it.
Well, I’ve been extremely worn out from work and going to bed really early this week. Today will be no exception; going to bed before 10 for another night. Good night everyone!
I love you, Faith!
The hurricane came through and seemed to be much more mild that I imagined it would be. However, it still ruined me being able to golf this weekend. Which is probably a good thing because of my wrist. But anyway, the one thing that made me think about writing this…
On my way to the house in Richmond from Prince George, I saw a person watering their lawn. A hurricane is raining down on us and you feel the need to water your lawn? What are you thinking? What as waste.
